I have asked her if there is any cause: I do not dare ask he rmother, for to disturb the poor lady's mind about her daughter in her present state of health would be fatal.Mrs Westenra has confided to me that her doom is spoken- disease of the heart-though poor Lucy does not know it yet. I am sure that there is something preying on my dear girls's mind. I am most distracted when I think of her; to look at her gives me a pang. I told her I should ask you to see her, and though she demurred at first-I know why, old fellow- she finally consented. It will be a painful task for you, I know, old friend, but it is for her sake, and I must not hestitate to ask, or you to act. You are to come to lunch at Hillingham tomorrow, two o'clock, so as not to arouse any suspicion in Mrs westenra, and after lunch Lucy will take an opportunity of being alone with you. A tailsman for enchantment-to give yourself good humour, wisdom and grace. A spell for self-empowerment.
Using a small soft, pliable piece of green willow (soak it in water overnight to make it more pliable if needed), bend it into a figure eight knot. As you work with the willow, think as yourself as part of a chain linking you to everyone and everything else.
Then think of the people that are difficult in your life and think loving thoughts and good wishes for them.
Weave a spell of enchantment into the knot as you work with it. Place it in your pocket, wear it as a pin, or place it in a prominent place in your home. If you have an important meeting or dinner event, make sure the willow is on the table

Pandora's Box
Hope- Pandora brought the box with the evils and opened it. It was the god's gift to man, on the outside a beautiful, enticing gift, called "box of good fortune." Then all the evils, those lively, winged beings, flew out of it. Since that time, they roam around and do harm to men by day and night. One single evil had not yet slipped out of the box. As Zeus had wished, Pandora slammed the top down and it remained inside. So now man has the box of good fortune in his house forever and thinks the world of the treasure. It is at his service; he reaches for it when he fancies it. For he does not know that the box which Pandora brought was the box of evils, and he takes the remaining evil for the greatest worldly good-it is hope, Zeus did not want man to throw his life away, no matter how much the other evils might torment him, but rather to go on letting himself be tormented anew. To that end, he gives man hope. In truth, it is the most eveil of evils because it prolongs man's torment.

I like the contrast in colours in this image between the pink and black. Also the white sphere and the model looks as if she is trying to 'see' something in the future, hence the title.
